This unit is for people who manage first aid in a workplace: the kit, the room, the records, and the people who respond. It sits above Provide First Aid. You learn how to keep the service ready, not only how to treat a casualty.
We run it for groups of five or more. Contact us for a date and a quote. Training can be at your site or in our Tweed Heads South venue.
What you’ll learn
- Plan and maintain a workplace first aid service
- Check, restock and document first aid kits and equipment
- Review incidents and improve the first aid response
- Brief other first aiders and keep records that stand up to audit
Entry requirements
Prerequisite: a current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (or equivalent) is expected. Tell us if your team needs that unit in the same booking.
A device and internet for any pre-course work we set.
Course duration
Typically a half to full day depending on the group and whether we combine other units. We confirm times when we quote.
Course delivery
Dedicated group of five or more. Your workplace or our professional WHS-ready venue at Tweed Heads South. After-hours depending on the trainer.

Certificate renewal
Industry recommendation is to refresh this unit every three years, or sooner if your workplace first aid procedures change.
Assessment
Written and practical assessment against the unit. You complete knowledge questions and workplace-style tasks (kits, records and a simulated service review).
