HLTAID014 Provide advanced first aid is for workplaces that need a higher-level first aider: remote sites, high-risk industry, event medical, or teams that already hold Provide First Aid and want the next unit.
It is a group booking of five or more. We quote for your site or our Tweed Heads South venue. HLTAID011 is normally required first.
What you’ll learn
- Coordinate a first aid response until medical help arrives
- Use advanced first aid equipment in line with workplace procedures
- Manage more complex injuries and medical conditions
- Lead other first aiders and complete detailed incident records
Entry requirements
Prerequisite: a current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (or equivalent). You must be able to complete uninterrupted CPR on the floor.
Device and internet for online theory.
Course duration
Longer than standard first aid. Online theory plus a practical that usually runs to a full day for a group. We confirm times on the quote.
Course delivery
Groups of five or more. Your workplace or Tweed Heads South. Can be combined with oxygen / advanced resus (HLTAID015) if your site needs both.

Certificate renewal
Refresh advanced first aid every three years. CPR remains due every 12 months.
Assessment
Online theory plus practical scenarios: CPR, use of advanced equipment, coordinating a response, and written incident records.
