UETDRMP018 LV Rescue Course Overview
Complete the UETDRMP018 LV Rescue Course at our Tweed Heads South training venue. In addition, you can complete your First Aid certificate at the same time. Our express LV Rescue Training includes easy parking and flexible morning and afternoon class times.
What You’ll Learn
This UETDRMP018 LV Rescue Course teaches the skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus. However, it does not cover overhead power lines or underground electrical cables.
During the course, you’ll inspect and use LV rescue equipment while following current Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements. Furthermore, you’ll understand the responsibilities of Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) workers and electrical industry workers.
Rescue Procedures
First, you’ll identify site-specific hazards. Next, you’ll follow safe isolation procedures before beginning a rescue. Then, you’ll practise the correct LV panel rescue process using industry-approved equipment.
CPR and Emergency Response
In addition, you’ll complete practical CPR training that follows current Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. Moreover, you’ll build the confidence needed to respond safely during electrical emergencies.
Entry Requirements
To enrol in this course, you’ll need to meet the following requirements.
Identification Requirements
Provide an official photo ID, such as a driver’s licence, passport, or student ID.
Physical Requirements
Participants must have the physical ability to complete practical activities, including uninterrupted CPR and a simulated LV rescue.
Language, Literacy and Digital Skills
Furthermore, students should demonstrate basic learning, reading, writing, communication, numeracy, and digital skills to complete the course successfully.
Support is available if required.
Online Learning
Student Portal Access
Before attending the practical session, complete the online learning through the student portal.
Students need access to a computer, smartphone, tablet, or another internet-connected device.
Typically, the online learning takes around 3–4 hours. However, completion times vary depending on previous experience.
Course Duration
Complete the online learning before attending the practical session.
Then, attend approximately 1 hour of face-to-face practical assessment, including 45 minutes of CPR.
Alternatively, students completing the combined LVR, CPR, and First Aid course should allow approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Course Delivery
We deliver this course at our Tweed Heads South venue or at your workplace.
Additionally, workplace group training is available on request.
Assessment Requirements
Practical Assessment
You’ll complete practical assessments in:
- Adult CPR
- Infant CPR
- LV Rescue equipment inspection
- Simulated live LV panel rescue
Theory Assessment
Finally, you’ll complete a written multiple-choice assessment.
Certificate Renewal
Industry guidelines recommend renewing this qualification every 12 months.
Therefore, regular refresher training helps maintain current rescue and CPR skills.
Requirements for Completion
Attend 100% of the online and practical training.
In addition, you must demonstrate 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR during the practical assessment.

Successful students receive:
- UETDRMP018 – Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel
- HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
If you complete the combined First Aid option, you’ll also receive:
- HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
Training Location
Training takes place at our Tweed Heads South venue.
Alternatively, workplace group training is available throughout the region.
