Course Overview

This course has a prerequisite of HLTAID011 Provide First Aid if you choose the Advanced Resuscitation with CPR option. Alternatively, you can complete the combined course that includes First Aid training.

First, you’ll complete the online learning and knowledge assessment. Then, you’ll attend a face-to-face practical session with one of our experienced trainers. Throughout the course, you’ll learn in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and current first aid workplace requirements.

What You’ll Learn

During the course, we teach you how to respond to complex emergencies using advanced first aid, CPR, and oxygen therapy techniques. In addition, you’ll learn how to safely use specialised first aid equipment in workplace and community settings.

Our trainers guide you through realistic emergency scenarios to help you build practical skills and confidence. For example, you’ll learn how to use oxygen equipment, insert a basic airway adjunct, apply tourniquets and haemostatic dressings, and manage life-threatening bleeding.

Practical Training

We use realistic emergency scenarios to help you develop practical skills. Furthermore, you’ll practise advanced resuscitation techniques, CPR, oxygen therapy, and emergency response procedures under the guidance of experienced trainers.

As a result, you’ll gain the confidence needed to respond effectively during real emergencies.
